Jennifer Folsom is the winner of the 2010 Hot Mommas Project case competition. The Hot Mommas Project is an award-winning research project making stories of women teachable to serve as virtual role models and mentors. In this series, students comment on what they learn from the cases both from a personal and career standpoint.
Today is International Women’s Day, the Graduate Teaching Fellow, Karima Morris Woods, gives her thoughts and reflections.
“She blurted out “Ashley Albert has a kids band” and then called me 10 minutes later, hunkered in the corner of her office, saying “Oh my gosh, I don’t even know why I said it- how soon can you put a band together?'”
Student reaction: “The reason Ms. Albert’s case is so inspiring to me is because she doesn’t sugarcoat the truth.”
