I've always thought opting out was a bit of a crock. I know there is statistical validity to the trend. I just take issue with the fun the media seemed to have projecting the slightly salacious image of women leaving the workforce and their aspirations behind. An
unstated Stepford image is left behind. I mean, come on, who really knows a stay at home mom who stays at home? My friends are volunteering, or running a side business, and doing a million things.
