Linda Smith is 2010 Hot Mommas Arts Award Winner!  Let’s share her story together, and it will help your future success.

Hello, this is Li blogging from Beijing, China again!  The summer in here is very hot.  I hope everyone is doing okay in the States!
P.s. Please pardon my English grammar errors.  I am an international student, posting from Beijing, China this summer. Thanks!

Linda as a role model

Linda is a role model for anyone who to follow his or her dream to the full extend no matter how difficult the situation is.  Her family is a great example of this kind of spirit that resides in her. Having a family in which many members are entrepreneurs gave Linda the courage and support to try entrepreneurship herself.  Her family of entrepreneurs influenced her to become someone who is willing to try different paths and careers as long as they are the branches of her dreams.  Now, she is showing her children and all of us how to enjoy the job you do and to do the job you enjoy.

The entrepreneurial spirit in us all

Even from an early age, Linda had the desire to become a writer.  After high school, she also tried her best in following another passion, art.  She made a unique career for her, becoming both an artist and a writer.  Not only is she doing the things she is interested in, she is also forming two professions out of those two interests, showing the world how the fundamentals of entrepreneurship spirit lies simply within the dreams we have.

Overcoming challenges

Life is difficult.  Linda has many obstacles in life such as the large amount of money need for an art education and health issues.  But, she overcame all of the problems.  She worked her way through college education by joining the U.S. Navy.  And, in fact, after she overcame her health issues, she used this opportunity as a new starting point to start her own entrepreneurship path in art. This path gave her the chance to follow the career path of her dreams.

My career learning from Linda

I truly believe that following the dreams you have and make that into the profession you share with the world is the most important.  Linda is a perfect example of someone who had obstacles in her way but overcame all of them little by little. Finally, she reached a point in her career and life where she is the one in control of fulfilling the dreams she had.

Li’s friend Alex Baker comment

Wow, I didn’t think that a dream could be held true after this many years. I’m also thinking of becoming a painter.

  1. I am so happy to read this. This is the kind of manual that needs to be given and not the random misinformation that is at the other blogs. Appreciate your sharing this best doc.
